The Strive for Certified Natural Turf Since 2005, Mike Barberry has been experimenting growing quality turfgrass using natural fertilization methods. Many of these methods have been quite successful. Now, Mike is the President of the Maryland Turfgrass Association and he is exploring ways that the Maryland Department of Agriculture can certify a naturally grown turf product. Currently, Aldino Sod Farms is on the cutting edge producing Natural Turfgrass utilizing emerging techniques and products available for turfgrass producers. Although the future of "organic" and "non-organic" turfgrass procedures are unclear at this time, Aldino Sod Farms is leading the way to producing naturally grown turfgrass, minimizing pesticides, nutrients and chemicals. |
