Aldino Sod Farms offers its customers to purchase sod in "slabs" or "big-rolls". Slabs are best for small residential areas or areas where sod needs to be placed by hand. Big-rolls are ideal for installations on large sports fields, areas larger than a half acre, and areas where there are few obstacles. Installation of Big-rolls requires the use of a tractor with an installation tool, which we can provide to you. Please call for information regarding big-rolls.
Delivery: Our sod in both "Big Rolls" and palletized pieces can be delivered with custom forklift placement on the job site. Please call for delivery rates. Homeowners: Call for special delivery rates on Saturdays! Left: Our big-roll harvester is unloading a roll of sod. The cut is 42" wide, and lengths vary from 50' to 75' long. Right: Our sod harvester sends a slab of sod up the conveyer to be stacked on a pallet. A full pallet holds 100 pieces, which is 500 square feet. Each Piece is 5 square feet (16" wide and 42" long).
