1 – Preparation for New Sod

Preparation Recommendations 

• Clean area of all debris
• Grade area to desired contours
• Four inches of top soil should be available – if not, it should be added
• Use a Roto-tiller to prepare the soil to a depth of four inches for new sod
  
• Have soil tested by County Extension Agent or other local extension service.
• Fertilize and lime according to the results of the soil test.
• Rake area to a smooth even surface
